There's no place like home...
Tom and I had the opportunity to take a trip to Italy and Greece, and we just returned last week. On my bucket list was a stay at the Casa Maria Luigi in Modena and a meal at Massimo Batturo's restaurant, Francescana. It didn't disappoint. We traveled to Toscana and stayed a few days in Lupaia, Montepulciano and Firenze. Off to Athens where we boarded a Seabourn Cruise to visit the amazing Greek islands. Highlights and photos from above show: Flying upper class Virgin Atlantic, our dining experience at Francescana, our view from our farmhouse apartment, our visit with Corso our Florence global member, the luscious produce in Tuscany, the amazing city of Florence (shopping), the pasta and truffles in Tuscany, the design and architecture of farmhouses and villas, hiking in Greece and Tuscany, Seabourn Cruise, Mykonos shopping and beaches, Greek and Italian wines and conversing with our Mykonos global member, Florios.
As I stated, there's no place like home. In speaking with our global members, I learned that their real estate market is running similar to ours-low inventory, urban vacancies and little to no foreign investors. I also learned what is considered the difference between a villa and a farmhouse in Italy. I'd love to hear about your recent travels or trips you're dreaming about in the future.
Median home values are at an all-time high and continue to soar in California. There was an exodus from California to other states like Idaho, Oregon, North Carolina and Tennessee over the spring and early summer. Yet, that did not hurt our market as urban dwellers are still making their way to the wine country for a more work-at-home environment. I have some wonderful property listings shown below.
